photoMr. Castillo is part of Vector Scientific’s vehicle accident reconstruction team. His primary duties include assisting with vehicle inspections, Crash Data Retrievals (CDR), vehicle and accident scene FARO 3D scan documentation and processing, researching vehicle crash data, and conducting various engineering calculations related to accident reconstruction analyses.

Ben spent seven years working for Discount Tire Company where he spent much of his time servicing vehicles including mounting and balancing tires, siping, studding, flat repairs, and diagnosing the root cause failure of tire and wheel assemblies. Alongside vehicle service, Ben also frequently worked in the customer service aspect of the job and maintained the store’s tire inventory.

Mr. Castillo graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. His research at CSU’s Engines and Energy Conversion Lab focused on the development of experimental engine systems for both diesel and natural gas motors. Ben’s projects in the engine and energy lab included piston/ring pack friction direct measurement, shale gas clone blending, single cylinder engine conversion, and natural gas conditioning via gas-permeable membranes.
