Vector Scientific, Inc. (VSI) President Jeff Wheeler recently gave a guest lecture titled “Injury Biomechanics Applications in Forensic Biomechanics” at the Paul M. Rady School of Computer Science and Engineering at Western Colorado University.

Western Colorado University Professor Melanie Peddle invited Mr. Wheeler to share his knowledge and decades of expertise in the application of injury biomechanics to the field of forensic biomechanics.

Students in this Engineering Biomechanics and Injury class participate in the Mechanical Engineering - University of Colorado Partnership academic program which allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from CU Boulder while taking all courses on the Western Slope.

Mr. Wheeler is recognized internationally in the academic and scientific community as a leading expert in forensic biomechanics. He has co-authored more than 35 scientific publications, given dozens of presentations to professional organizations in the USA, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and New Zealand, and held research and teaching positions along with providing guest lectures at universities. Jeff’s lecture will focus on how injury biomechanics can be used to analyze injuries that occur in automotive, industrial/occupational, and sports/recreation accidents.
