Vector Scientific, Inc. (VSI) Biomechanical Team to attend NHTSA Workshop

The 50th NHTSA Workshop on Human Subjects for Biomechanical Research hosted by the National Highway Traffic Administration Human Injury Research Division will be held in Denver this Sunday, November 6, 2022. The Vector Scientific, Inc. (VSI) biomechanical team of Jeff Wheeler, Steven Storvik, Wade Baker, J. Michio Clark, Ph.D., and Akshara Sreedhar will be attending.

Last year at the 2021 workshop Wade Baker presented VSI’s work on “Validation of Rotational Head Kinematics in IIHS Rear-end Impact Tests Determined by Video Analysis” and the year before at the 2020 workshop Michio Clark presented VSI’s work on “The Effect of Active Head Restraints (AHRs) on Head Kinematics in Rear Impact Sled Tests.” Twenty-four years ago at the 1998 workshop, Jeff Wheeler presented “Human Subject Protection in Low-speed Rear-end Automobile Testing.”

The workshops were virtual for the past two years and the VSI team looks forward to a live meeting in our hometown of Denver this year. We hope to see you there.
